Vietnam

I visited Vietnam in 1994,1995 and 1996 in connection with my work and went to Hanoi in each of the three years and Ho Chi Minh City in 1994 and 1995 .  In late October1995, at the end of my working visit, I stayed on to make a circular 10-day tour by road from Hanoi out to the north-west of the country seeking ethnic minorities and their textiles.  Below are some 'theme galleries' of photos taken from my visits.

Still to be the subject of Photo galleries are several photos of various different Hmong which I have been unable, so far, to identify to specific sub-groups.

If I can get to grips with the problem of image size, I have two slide shows compiled from photos from my 1995 trip which I hope to load onto this web site - a short show, 'Baby Carriers', and a longer one, 'Vietnam Journey 1995', featuring the variety of ethnic minorities against the beautiful and varied scenery of the northern part of Vietnam.
